General Commands

In case the error messaging is disabled (see Supervisor Message on page

101), WMT52 does not return any response message with the general

commands given in ASCII and NMEA-formats.

Reset (aXZ)

This command is used to perform software reset on the device.

Command format in ASCII and NMEA 0183: aXZ<cr><lf>

Command format in SDI-12: aXZ!

The response depends on the communication protocol, see the

examples.

Example (ASCII):

0XZ<cr><lf>

0TX,Start-up<cr><lf>

Example (SDI-12):

0XZ!0<cr><lf> (=device address)

Example (NMEA 0183):

0XZ<cr><lf>

$WITXT,01,01,07,Start-up*29

where

a = Device address

XZ = Reset command

<cr><lf> = Command terminator in ASCII and NMEA 0183

! = Command terminator in SDI-12
