Temporarily Open Transmitter from

POLL Mode to Receive Serial Commands

Syntax: OPEN nn<cr>

Where

Address of the transmitter (0 ... 99)

The OPEN command sets the bus temporarily in STOP mode so that the

SMODE command can be issued.

Example:

>open 4

Device: 4 line opened for operator commands

Set Transmitter in POLL Mode

Syntax: CLOSE<cr>

In STOP mode: the command OPEN has no effect, CLOSE sets the

transmitter temporarily in POLL mode.

In POLL mode: the command OPEN sets the transmitter temporarily in

STOP mode, command CLOSE returns the instrument to POLL mode.

Example:

Relative humidity calibration is performed at transmitter 2, which is in

POLL mode.

>open 2

Opens the line to transmitter 2.

>crh

Calibration started.

...

>close

Line closed.
